Test your fishing skills or take a ride down the river on a tube. Try your luck at gem mining or take a ride on the Smoky Mountain Railroad. Hike miles of beautiful trails including the AT and Bartram Trail, view amazing waterfalls, see native wildlife and spectacular views and panoramas from some of the oldest mountains on earth. Tour the back country roads and visit quaint shops in Franklin and Highlands, NC, to find hidden antiques and special treasures.

• Amenities - Our vacation rentals in Franklin, North Carolina offer both one and two bedrooms with efficiency kitchens, showers, family room and screened porches right on the banks of the beautiful Cullasaja River. Each vacation rental includes: linens/towels, dishes, radio, microwave, electric stove/oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and front door parking. We do not have computer hookups or land line phone service so you can get away and enjoy the simple life once again. Small Pet friendly service fee of $50.
  
  
• Location - These vacation cottages are located approximately 7 miles from the Town of Franklin, NC and 9 miles from the Town of Highlands, NC, in Western North Carolina, home of the Smoky Mountains.
  
  
• Rates & Terms - Prices start at $300 per week or $175 for a 3 day/2 night weekend. A deposit of 50% is required to hold reservations. Refunds provided if a minimum of 3 weeks notice is given. Cottages available May through October.

DIRECTIONS:

• From Atlanta: Go North on I-85 to I-985 to Rt. 23 which joins US 441. Once you reach Franklin, NC, go onto US 441 Bypass. Then at the 2nd exit, turn right on Highlands Road (US64E). Travel approximately 7 miles. The River Rock Inn & Cottage Sign is on the right after the house with the blue/green metal roof. Go down gravel road to the river and the cottage assigned to you. • From Asheville: Take I-40 to US 23/19/74 West (Exit 27). At Waynesville stay left on US 23/74. Look for Franklin exit (US 23/441), Go past Dillsboro and past the first exit for Franklin. Look for Wal-Mart on left then take your next exit on the right (US 64) Highlands Road. Turn left at light on Highlands Road and go about 7 miles.
